Replica Mono specimen from Lineto

The monospaced variant of Norm's Replica, a Swiss grotesque with a stem width noticeably wider than Helvetica's.

About

Replica Mono extracts the fixed-width cut from the Replica family, designed by the Swiss studio Norm as the neutral spine of a deliberately lean type system. The parent family was built with a Regular stem around 10% wider than Helvetica, giving it a slightly denser texture at small sizes whilst remaining unremarkable at a glance. Released as a standalone mono cut, it suits editorial and screen contexts where a workhorse monospace with grotesque ancestry is preferred over more expressive coding faces.

Classification

Replica Mono is the monospaced cut of the Replica family, itself a grotesque sans developed by the Swiss design studio Norm; the mono variant applies fixed-width spacing to the same neutral, slightly wide grotesque skeleton.
