About

Frutiger was commissioned for the directional signage system at Charles de Gaulle Airport and released publicly by Stempel and Linotype in 1976. Its wide, open apertures and high x-height make it exceptionally legible at distance and in adverse conditions. It became the standard for transport signage, pharmaceutical labelling and corporate communications worldwide.

Classification
