About
Originating from an exploration of the Toulouse Scriptorium archives, Medley blends Uncial, Carolingian minuscule and brush lettering into a single family with a deliberately contradictory character. The Display optical size leans into the most radical, sharply contrasted letterforms, while the Text cut tempers these shapes for readability without abandoning the family's defining details, such as its signature closed-eye 'e'. With nine weights from Thin to Black, each with an italic, the family is designed by Noheul Lee and Loris Olivier at lo-ol Type, with engineering by Jan Charvát.
