MD Polychrome

A four-style display typeface drawn from the aesthetic of Magnetic Ink Character Recognition type, refined for large-scale and poster use.
About
Taking MICR as its source, the design addresses the inherent unevenness of machine-readable letterforms: rebalancing texture, correcting spacing and pushing the optical range toward the largest print applications. Four styles named Nano, Kilo, Mega and Giga function as optical sizes, each tuned for different scales. A variable font is available on request with purchase of the complete family.
Classification
Derived from MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) letterforms, a highly specialised pre-digital machine-readable script. Its optical-size structure and large-scale intent place it firmly in the display category.
