Drawing on early 20th-century geometric sans serifs, Specter eschews calligraphic influence in favour of shapes that resemble cut paper laid flat, with flat terminals enabling tight typesetting. Six weights with roman and italic styles cover text and display use, while Specter Inline Ultra adds a dramatic display option with a single stroked weight. A friendly lowercase and distinctive italic give the family a refined character that sits somewhere between historical revival and original construction.
