Based on Great Primer Ornamented No. 35 (Boston, 1860) and Great Primer Ornamented No. 6 (MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan, 1885), it draws on the Tuscan tradition of bifurcated, spur-laden display letterforms. Metis have smoothed the source material, extended the character set with Latin Extended coverage, and expanded the family from two historical cuts to five weights ranging from Thin to Heavy. Best suited to display work where a Western or Victorian flavour is wanted without reaching for degraded originals.
