About
Designed by Rob Keller and first released in 2008, Mota Pixel has grown across three versions into a 114-font family built on a grid-based bitmap aesthetic. Each of the three weights — Light, Regular and Bold — carries a distinct visual character, from the monolinear upright-italic feel of the Light to the high-contrast 2:1 pixel ratio of the Regular and the chunky heaviness of the Bold. The 37 layer styles per weight, extensive OpenType feature set and generous script coverage make this unusually thorough for a free release.
Classification
