About
Cut Square is the rectilinear companion to MuirMcNeil Cut, sharing the same extreme vertical stroke contrast drawn from late eighteenth and early nineteenth-century neoclassical types. Where conventional stencil cuts retain their crossstrokes, here they are dissolved entirely into open spaces, breaking letterforms into discrete geometric segments assembled through scaling, reflection and repetition. Available in Light, Regular and Bold in both OpenType and web font formats, the family works wherever a rational, reductive structure is needed.
