About
Each of the four scale groups — FourPoint 01 through 04 — is built on a fixed grid where stroke widths measure one to four dots respectively, and the letterforms scale proportionally to those stroke widths. Weight variation across the five densities per group is achieved not by thinning or thickening strokes but by enlarging dot diameters, producing the optical effect of a halftone tint screen within the letter bodies. Grid positions, spacing, side-bearings and kerning all remain locked across weights, allowing precise calculation of size and weight ratios in composition.

Constructed on a fixed dot-grid at four resolutions with halftone-style dot densities replacing conventional stroke weight variation, placing it firmly in the display/experimental geometric category rather than any conventional text type classification.
