Nine Metric

A geometric type system built on a strict 9-unit grid, available in nine weights with a matching monospaced counterpart.
About
Nine Metric is part of MuirMcNeil's Nine system, constructed from vertical, horizontal and 45-degree oblique segments on the same 36-unit grid that underlies their ThreeSix system. Nine weights run from 018 Ultra Light to 162 Extra Black, with stroke increments added symmetrically on a central axis so that width, cap-height, x-height and spacing all modulate together across the range. Because contours and side-bearings map onto each other precisely, weights can be layered in exact registration or offset, opening spatial and time-based design possibilities beyond ordinary type use.
Classification
Nine Metric is constructed entirely from vertical, horizontal and 45-degree oblique segments terminated by circular arcs on a strict 36-unit grid subdivided into 9 units, placing it firmly in the geometric sans tradition.
