TwoStroke specimen from Muirmcneil

A monospaced type system built from sixteen rectangular grids, originating as a custom commission for London College of Communication's 2015 degree shows before being expanded for TypeCon 2016.

About

Constructed from sixteen corresponding rectangular grids, TwoStroke sits within MuirMcNeil's broader Two Type System, a framework in which individual glyphs are designed to collaborate rather than operate as isolated alphabets. The system was first developed for a custom type collection at London College of Communication's 2015 degree shows, then revised and extended for the American Society of Typographic Aficionados' TypeCon 2016 identity. Its strict modular logic makes it well suited to systematic, grid-driven visual identities.

Classification

TwoStroke is explicitly described as a monospaced type system; its construction from rectangular grids gives it a strongly geometric character, placing it firmly in the geometric mono subcategory.
