Rather than generating letterforms from a fixed design code, each glyph in Worm has been drawn individually within a consistent geometric framework that governs contours, spacing and alignment. The seven weights are calibrated to sit on top of one another, so outlines from different cuts can be combined to produce a range of visual effects. The result sits somewhere between a strictly systematic typeface and a loosely coordinated alphabet of idiosyncratic characters.
