About
NaN Holo Gigawide Ultra is the widest and heaviest member of the 36-style Holo family, designed by Luke Prowse with additional work from the NaN team. The typeface blends rectangular counters with rounded curves in a way that reads as simultaneously archaic and futuristic, drawing explicit conceptual reference to Blade Runner's Voight-Kampff test. At large sizes the tension between its squared and rounded details is felt as warmth and surprise; at smaller sizes those details collapse into a workable, personality-laden text face.
