A humanist sans in three subfamilies, each named for a time of day and distinguished by contrasting terminal treatments drawn from the calligraphic work of Hildegard Korger.
About
Designed by Reymund Schröder as a typographic extrapolation of 20th-century calligrapher Hildegard Korger's work, the family is structured around three named subfamilies: Sunrise with concave stem sections, Noon with flat terminals and settled neutrality, and Sunset with rounded forms and hair-thin connections. Rather than a conventional weight hierarchy, the three styles function as a spectrum of mood, intended to be mixed on the same page or even within the same word. Supporting 219 Latin-based languages, the family spans seven weights per subfamily.
Classification
A humanist sans extrapolated from the work of calligrapher and type designer Hildegard Korger, with three subfamilies that each interpret humanist letterform tradition through distinct terminal treatments ranging from concave to flat to rounded.
