NaN Metrify specimen from NaN

A 108-style neo-grotesque available in three distinct flavour variants and six non-Latin scripts, spanning nine widths from Compressed to Gigawide.

About

Designed by Luke Prowse and J.B Morizot at NaN, Metrify answers the question of what a sans-serif should be in a genuinely transborder context, with dedicated Arabic, Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Thai and Pan-African versions developed alongside script-specific consultants. The family is split into three ABC variants sharing a common skeleton: A is the most detailed and warm, B is stripped back and rational, and C pushes further toward a simplified near-geometric vocabulary. All styles are delivered as variable fonts, with nine widths running from Compressed to Gigawide across six weights and matching italics.

Classification

NaN explicitly position Metrify within the Neo-Grotesque genre, drawing on Swiss International Style precedents while extending the form across nine widths and three distinct flavour variants. The family sits squarely in the neo-grotesque category but questions its constraints.
