NaN Rage Slab specimen from NaN

A bracket-less slab-serif spanning four widths and nine weights, built on neo-grotesque principles with sharp, simplified forms and perfectly horizontal stroke endings.

About

Part of the NaN Rage Typographic Universe, Rage Slab strips the slab-serif of its historical ornament, replacing bracketed serifs and decorative curves with clean interruptions and horizontal terminals drawn from neo-grotesque convention. The result reads cooler and more restrained than its sibling Rage Beau, running from Thin to Black across Standard, Narrow and XCondensed widths for use from dense body text columns to broad display headlines. Supporting 305 Latin-based languages, it is a thoroughly ahistorical take on the genre with a sharp, contemporary voice.

Classification

Bracket-less serifs, horizontal stroke endings borrowed from neo-grotesques, and simplified non-decorative forms place this firmly in the geometric/neo-grotesque branch of the slab-serif genre rather than the traditional Clarendon or Egyptian lineages.
