Balkenschrift Rounded

A modular geometric sans built on a horizontal-bar construction principle, offered in both sharp and rounded terminal variants across five weights, four widths and matching italics.
About
The family takes its name from the German word for a bar or beam letterform, with every character built from strict horizontal strokes. Balkenschrift Rounded softens those terminals while retaining the underlying grid logic, and the full family spans four static widths from standard to Ultra Wide, each included at no extra cost with any weight purchase. Both Balkenschrift and Balkenschrift Rounded are also available as variable fonts with weight, slant and width axes, though the two subfamilies cannot interpolate between each other.
Classification
Balkenschrift Rounded is a geometric sans built on a strict horizontal-bar construction principle, with the Rounded subfamily softening terminals; the overall architecture is systematically geometric rather than humanist or grotesque.
