Rubis
Nootype · 2016

A ten-style contemporary serif from 2016, designed for long-form text with sharp terminals and fluid curves drawn from calligraphic tradition.
About
Released by Nootype in February 2016, Rubis spans five weights from Light to Black, each with a matching italic, mixing calligraphic terminal forms with the crispness of a modern serif. Regular and Medium are optimised for body text, while Light and Black work at display sizes. OpenType features include small caps, proportional and tabular figures, fractions and ligatures, with extended character support for Central, Eastern and Western European languages.
Classification
Rubis blends calligraphic terminal forms with the sharpness of a modern serif, placing it between transitional and modern traditions with a sharp, fluid character suited to long text.
