About
Each letterform is composed of vertical and horizontal rectangles modulated by soft angles, giving the alphabet a schematic, architectural quality. The design originated from 'Recto-Verso', a book by artist Ali Kazma, for which Apeloig devised new letters informed by the physical dimensions and weight of the book itself. The typeface takes its name from Kazma and won a German Design Award.
Classification
Constructed from vertical and horizontal rectangles with soft angles, the letterforms are grid-based and highly geometric, placing this firmly in display territory with no conventional text-type characteristics.
