Designed by Clovis Vallois and released between 2010 and 2011, Ernesto was commissioned for the Ewerk Freiburg cultural space, with its forms derived from the building's architecture. The typeface looks to the geometric sans serifs of the late 1920s, particularly Kabel and Futura, as its formal reference points. It exists only in uppercase across Thin, Regular and Bold weights, each accompanied by two stylistic alternate sets.
