Antenna 2
Occupant Fonts · Cyrus Highsmith, Victoria Rushton · 2006

An industrial sans serif by Cyrus Highsmith, revisited in 2025 with extended language support, variable fonts and four widths across seven weights.
About
Originally released in 2006, Antenna 2 was drawn with deliberately slowed curves and a focus on the white shapes formed inside and between letters rather than on stroke contrast or optical warmth. The 2025 revision, led by Victoria Rushton, adds Cyrillic, Greek and extended Latin coverage alongside variable font support. Fifty-six static styles spanning Regular, Condensed, Extra Condensed and Compressed widths make it a genuinely broad workhorse for editorial, wayfinding and corporate applications.
Classification
Described explicitly as an industrial sans serif; the design foregrounds the pattern of counter and inter-character white space rather than stroke rhythm, placing it outside humanist or geometric traditions.
