Hobeaux

A thorough revival of the 1910 Hobo typeface, redrawn from scratch across five weights with expanded characters and OpenType features the original never had.
About
Every character was redrawn and respaced from scratch, correcting the degraded curves that accumulated through decades of technology transitions and a careless early digitisation. The family adds stylistic alternates for descending letters, ornaments, burst figures, arrows and other characters that were never drawn for the original Hobo. Five weights from Light to Black make it more versatile than the single-weight Hobo most designers know from pre-installed system fonts.
Classification
A revival of the 1910 Hobo typeface, itself an art nouveau design with no descenders and distinctive curved baselines. The display category is appropriate given its expressive, decorative character and limited suitability for body text.
