Euchre
Okay Type · Jackson Showalter-Cavanaugh

A text sans by Jackson Showalter-Cavanaugh with measured contrast and open structure, awarded TDC71 Judge's Choice and a Communication Arts trophy.
About
Designed primarily for running text, Euchre uses comfortable proportions and a carefully calibrated level of contrast that keeps copy readable without drawing attention to itself. Seven weights from ExThin to Black are available in both standard and condensed widths, each with matching italics, and a variable font adds a Grade axis for fine-tuning text density on press or screen without triggering reflow. OpenType features include small caps, ligatures and stylistic sets, and the variable format reduces webfont payload to roughly a quarter of the static family's footprint.
Classification
A text-optimised sans with calibrated contrast and open apertures, characteristics consistent with humanist sans design; the angled stress and organic rhythm distinguish it from geometric or grotesque models.
