Leluja Original specimen from Omnibus-Type

A four-weight serif family developed by Andrea Kulpas and Omnibus-Type, drawing its forms from Polish Wycinanki paper-cut folk art.

About

Designed by Andrea Kulpas in partnership between Omnibus-Type's Brazil and Argentina teams, the family comes in Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic. Its letterforms reference the decorative cut-paper tradition of Wycinanki, a Polish folk art once made from tree bark and leather and later applied to coloured paper for interior decoration and seasonal cards. Suitable for body text in print as well as titling work.

Classification

The typeface draws formal inspiration from Polish Wycinanki paper-cut folk art, giving it an ornamental, decorative character that places it within a display or decorative serif subcategory despite being usable for text.
