Haltung
Order · Joe Moore

A neo-grotesque rooted in the Basel school tradition, tracing a lineage from Walter Käch through Univers and Emil Ruder's students.
About
Designed by Joe Moore and mastered by Tiny Type Co., Haltung takes its name from Ernst Schmid's monograph 'Gestaltung ist Haltung' (Design is Attitude), framing the typeface as a conceptual bridge between three generations of Swiss typographic thinking. Seven weights from Light to Extrabold, each with a matching italic, produce 14 styles with the open, airy quality the foundry associates with its source material. The result sits between the warmth of mid-century Swiss grotesques and the demands of contemporary typographic practice.
Classification
Haltung is explicitly described as a neo-grotesk typeface, drawing directly from the Basel school tradition, Walter Käch's lettering and Univers, placing it squarely in the neo-grotesque sans-serif lineage.
