About
Based on the original drawings of Adolphe Giraldon, a French illustrator and decorator associated with the Art Nouveau period, this revival was initially commissioned for use as lettering in the reprinting of classic French novels. The typeface is available only in capitals, drawn close to the original, with additional ligatures, symbols and glyphs added for contemporary digital use. Its highly ornamental, organic forms make it well suited to period-styled editorial work, book covers and decorative display contexts.
