About
Derived from Mattby Display, which launched in 2022 as a two-cut family, PTS Mattby Sans extends the concept into a full eight-weight range from ExtraLight to Black. The family covers over 200 Latin-based languages and includes a thoughtful set of OpenType features: two stylistic sets offering single-storey a and g variants and an alternate S, extensive discretionary ligatures, glyph substitutions for arrows and symbols, and titling forms. The overall character is clean and unadorned, suited to branding, editorial and UI contexts where a neutral geometric voice is needed.
Classification
The foundry describes clean geometry as a defining characteristic, and the letterforms include optional single-storey a and g, typical of geometric sans-serif traditions.
