Updated from the original Varial of 2014, this family applies rounded terminals to a narrow sans structure across eight weights from ExtraLight to Ultra, each with a matching italic. Small caps, discretionary ligatures, stylistic alternates and fractions are included as OpenType features, and the character set covers a wide range of Latin languages. Part of a planned trio alongside Varial Two and Varial Two Super Rounded.
Classification
An extra-condensed sans-serif with rounded terminals, updating the original Varial (2014); the narrow proportions and geometric softness place it firmly in the condensed grotesque tradition.
