Designed by Alejandro Lo Celso and released in 2008, the series takes the letterforms of the parent Arlt typeface and systematically destroys them across seven distinct styles. Each font is named after a character from Roberto Arlt's Seven Madmen and draws on Lunfardo, the argot of Buenos Aires, for its cultural grounding. At small sizes on coarse stock the distortions read as atmospheric rather than chaotic, making the set well suited to literary, poetic and editorial contexts.
