On a mission to create the world's biggest index of typefaces from the world's best type foundries

sans-serifgrotesqueitalicmono
Fraktion specimen from Pangram Pangram Foundry

A contemporary grotesque by Juri Zaech with a slight industrial edge, paired with a fixed-width companion that trades technicality for playfulness.

About

Fraktion Sans takes loose inspiration from vintage signage lettering but lands somewhere more neutral, retaining only the squared-off rounds and compact capitals as visible traces of that origin. An exaggerated spur on the lowercase 'a', ink traps and true verticals on rounded strokes give it enough character for branding while keeping it usable for screen and editorial work. Fraktion Mono refits the letterforms for a fixed-width grid and ends up the more informal of the two, both sets offered across seven weights with italic counterparts and variable font cuts.

Classification

Pangram Pangram categorise it as Grotesk; it draws from vintage signage lettering but resolves into a contemporary grotesque with squared-off rounds, compact capitals and ink traps, accompanied by a fixed-width companion.
