Baskerville-derived serif by Alex Slobzheninov, with straight joining serifs, flag terminals and Text and Display contrasts.

About

A serif by Alex Slobzheninov that rethinks Baskerville for the digital era, with uncompromisingly straight serifs that join inside the letters, flag terminals and squarish punctuation. Ten styles split across five weights from Regular to Black in two contrast variations, Text and Display, with a two-axis variable font. Stylistic alternates can disconnect serifs to improve readability at smaller sizes, and Cyrillic is supported.

Classification

Pangram tag it Cyrillic, Expressive, Serif and Variable. A serif rooted in Baskerville but reshaped with uncompromisingly straight serifs that join inside the letters, plus flag terminals and squarish punctuation.
