Bold slab strokes sit alongside soft teardrop terminals, giving the face a rhythmic tension between structure and fluency. The design originated as an exploration of how a Latin slab serif might visually echo Japanese writing systems, and that premise informs its distinctive calligraphic undercurrent. With 692 glyphs per style, hiragana, katakana, Japanese punctuation, and stylistic alternates including an alternate Q, it is well-equipped for bilingual editorial and international branding work.
