A 72-font geometric sans collection inspired by Tamiya plastic model kits, spanning four subfamilies from standard sans to experimental connected letterforms.

About

Designed by Caio Kondo, Francesca Bolognini and Mat Desjardins, the collection draws its modular, mechanical aesthetic from the assembled components of Japanese scale model kits. The four subfamilies — Sans, Mono, Plastic and Plastic Line — each interpret the source material at a different level of abstraction, with Plastic and Plastic Line styles emulating the sprued parts before assembly. Alongside extended Latin coverage, the family includes Hiragana and Katakana scripts, tying the design concept back to its Japanese reference point.

Classification

The typeface is described as geometric and modular in construction, with mechanical aesthetics drawn from plastic model kit components. It is classified as sans-serif with a geometric subcategory given its clean, grid-like forms.
