Museum specimen from Pangram Pangram Foundry

A humanist sans with terminal flares drawn from Optima's glyphic heritage, spanning nine weights with true italics featuring swashes and decorative terminals.

About

Designed by Andrea Biggio, Mat Desjardins and Francesca Bolognini, Museum takes Optima as its conceptual starting point, filtering that glyphic quality through research into vintage book covers, spines and museum typography. The terminal flares are most pronounced in the lighter weights and recede as the weight increases, keeping the family usable across body text and display settings. All nine weights include true italics with swashes and decorative terminals, an uncommon offering for a sans-serif family.

Classification

A humanist sans-serif with subtle terminal flares drawn from Optima's glyphic tradition, placing it firmly in the humanist category rather than a neutral or geometric grotesque.
