PP Neue York specimen from Pangram Pangram Foundry

A 48-style sans drawn from New York vernacular signage, in three widths with deliberately different x-heights for headline and text.

About

PP Neue York is a vernacular gothic sans built from the layered visual noise of New York: bodega awnings, worn American gothics, subway tile mosaics and avenue and street rhythm. It runs across three widths drawn with deliberately different x-heights, with the Condensed taller and tighter for headlines and the Normal proportioned for text and continuous reading. Eight weights with italics in each width give a 48-style family that flexes from display to running copy without breaking voice.
