PP Right Serif specimen from Pangram Pangram Foundry

A 56-style contemporary serif by Alex Slobzheninov, drawn by adding serifs to Right Gothic rather than reviving a historical model.

About

Right Serif is a 56-style serif by Alex Slobzheninov, built as seven weights across seven widths plus a dedicated Italic family. It originated as a sans, growing serifs onto Right Gothic, which is why it carries a moderate contrast, tall x-height and the broad style coverage more typical of a grotesque. Most useful at large and medium sizes, with regular cuts that hold up in smaller paragraphs.

Classification

Pangram tags it Display, Italics, Serif, Variable. Eight subfamilies of seven styles each, 56 styles total. Drawn by adding serifs to Right Gothic, inheriting moderate contrast, a tall x-height and grotesk-style style coverage rather than a classical revival lineage.
