Valve specimen from Pangram Pangram Foundry

A two-family grotesque collection by Valerio Monopoli, pairing an ink-trapped plain workhorse with a modular stencil companion, each available as a variable font across 16 styles.

About

Valve brings together grotesque, geometric, gestural and cursive sans influences under one collection, unified by a shared modular structure visible most clearly in the stencil family. Three stylistic sets run through each family: a blocky semi-monospaced variant, a humanist option and a lively cursive, all with contextual ligatures that adapt to tracking. The variable fonts expose weight and slant axes, making the collection practical across branding, signage and editorial work.

Classification

Pangram Pangram categorise Valve as a grotesk sans serif; the collection blends grotesque, geometric, gestural, industrial, monospaced and cursive sans influences across two families, making it a broadly hybrid grotesque sans.
