Designed by Adrien Midzic and produced by Pizza Typefaces, UltraSolar takes the Wasa typeface as a starting point and pushes it into unusual territory with redrawn letterforms, a fresh approach to inktraps and a generous set of stylistic alternates including a Focal set intended for small-size reading. A collection of dingbats accompanies the main character set. The space and star-gazing concept runs through its presentation without overwhelming the practical character of the type itself.
