Designed by Lucas Descroix in 2022, Paraiso comprises seven styles across a serifed condensed range from Thin to Heavy, plus a Sans and Sans Italic. The design cites wood type as an influence but frames itself as a fantasised interpretation rather than revival, producing letterforms that suggest building blocks and carry a rhythmic warmth suited to headlines and poster layouts. OpenType features include alternate lowercase a and g, oldstyle figures, small capitals, fractions and case-sensitive forms, with coverage extending to Extended Latin including Vietnamese.
