Eclisse specimen from Plau

A high-contrast Didone display serif by Brazilian designers Carlos Mignot and Nelson Balaban, built for luxury identities, editorial headlines and logotypes.

About

Drawn in five weights from ExtraLight to Bold with matching italics, Eclisse takes Didone as its structural reference but widens circular letterforms beyond classical convention to create a distinctive silhouette at large sizes. Razor-thin serifs and strong stroke contrast make it suited to fashion editorials, book covers, premium packaging and identity work. A variable font version is included alongside the static styles.

Classification

Explicitly described as a hyper display serif drawing from the Didone tradition, with razor-thin serifs and high contrast characteristic of that style, optimised entirely for large-scale display use.
