Momento
Plau · Dan Schunck

A high-contrast display serif from Brazilian designer Dan Schunck that fuses broad-nib calligraphic structure with near-geometric circular forms across eight weights.
About
The design tension comes from pairing the angular, 30-degree angled counters and expressive serifs of broad-nib calligraphy against almost perfectly circular bowls and sharp geometric proportions. Available as both static and variable font files, the family spans Thin to Black with 488 glyphs covering 38 languages, plus several alternate letter sets. Intended for large sizes from 16pt upwards, it suits headlines, book covers, logotypes, packaging and poster work where typographic presence is the point.
Classification
Momento blends broad-nib calligraphic contrast and expressive serifs with geometric forms derived from near-perfect circles and sharp angles, placing it firmly in the high-contrast display serif category rather than a conventional text serif tradition.
