Primot
Plau · Rodrigo Saiani

An upright display script by Rodrigo Saiani, drawn from vintage Italian gelateria lettering with brush flairs, vertical connections and over 900 glyphs.
About
Designed by Rodrigo Saiani at Plau, it departs from the conventional slanted script form in favour of a vertical orientation inspired by Italian gelateria signage and historical brush lettering. The family includes initial and final letterforms, contextual alternates and swashes to support expressive short-word composition in logos, packaging and signage. With over 900 glyphs and extended Latin coverage, it offers considerable flexibility for display work despite being a single-style release.
Classification
Primot is explicitly described as an upright script with vertical connections drawn from brush lettering traditions, making it a display script with no slant, which distinguishes it from conventional cursive or calligraphic scripts.
