Adjunct specimen from Process Type Foundry

A spurless sans-serif by Eric Olson that distils a century of simplified-stroke design into a family balancing geometric structure with humanistic warmth.

About

Eric Olson traces the spurless genre from Nebiolo's Semplicità in the late 1920s through to Hans Reichel's FF Dax in the 1990s, then draws his own synthesis with nearly circular letterforms whose abbreviated stem terminations prevent monotony. The family runs across five weights with italics and includes a monospaced cut, making it useful across both editorial and interface contexts. OpenType features cover tabular and old-style figures, case-sensitive glyphs and a small set of directional arrows and patterns.

Classification

Adjunct is a spurless sans-serif drawing on the geometric-humanist tradition, with nearly circular letterforms tempered by humanistic stroke entry and exit treatment rather than strict geometric rigidity.
