Bryant 2 specimen from Process Type Foundry

A geometric sans by Eric Olson rooted in the Wrico mechanical lettering kits used by draftsmen in the 1960s and 70s, offering warmth that most geometric sans families lack.

About

Originally released in 2002 and revised in 2005, Bryant 2 draws on the rounded, template-lettered forms of Wrico drafting kits to produce a geometric sans that feels approachable rather than clinical. The Pro version adds small caps, proportional and tabular variants of both lining and old-style numerals, stylistic alternates and arrows as ornaments, bringing the family to 12 styles across four weights. A separate Condensed and Compressed range extends its range for tighter settings and display use.

Classification

Inspired by Wrico mechanical lettering kits, Bryant 2 sits firmly in the geometric sans tradition with rounded, warm letterforms that retain a human quality distinct from colder geometric models like Futura.
