A trio of typefaces built on the reductionist logic of FIGlet ASCII art, each constructed from a single repeated symbol.
About
FIG Sans is made entirely from the + symbol, FIG Serif from the *, and each letterform is built up from that single element alone. FIG Script departs from that rigid grid, arriving at an upright script with swooping ascenders and descenders drawn from primitive geometry. All three were designed by Eric Olson in 2002 as a tribute to the FIGlet program created by Frank Sheeran, Ian Chai and Glenn Chappell.
