FindReplace
Process Type Foundry · Eric Olson · 2004

A six-weight display family built on a single structural conceit: each weight replaces its core line with a progressively thicker version, enabling layering and gradation effects.
About
Designed by Eric Olson and released in 2004, FindReplace uses a systematic substitution method where a single line is thickened incrementally across six weights, all sharing identical metrics and kerning. That shared metric structure means the weights can be layered directly over one another for colour and depth effects without any realignment. OpenType features include old style numerals, ornaments and stylistic alternates.
Classification
FindReplace is built on a single-line replacement concept where progressively thicker strokes replace one another across six weights, resulting in unconventional stroke structures that place it firmly in experimental or display territory rather than conventional text type.
