On a mission to create the world's biggest index of typefaces from the world's best type foundries

sans-serifrounded sansitalic
Moniker specimen from Process Type Foundry

A rounded sans-serif by Eric Olson that extends the genre's informal warmth into continuous text, tables and wayfinding rather than limiting it to display use.

About

Released in 2017, Moniker takes the rounded sans tradition and reconfigures it for sustained reading and information design, where such faces rarely venture. Open terminations and a slightly condensed lowercase keep it compact and legible at text sizes, while almost classically proportioned uppercase letters maintain composure in headlines. Five weights with lively matching italics and small caps give it enough range for identity, editorial and signage work.

Classification

Moniker draws from the rounded sans-serif tradition of the past five decades, with open terminations and slightly condensed lowercase forms that push the genre toward text utility rather than pure display work.
