Stratum Condensed
Process Type Foundry · Eric Olson, with Egor Golovyrin and Maria Doreuli (Cyrillic), and George Triantafyllakos (Greek) · 2024

A condensed companion to Stratum, offered in two termination styles across six weights for display and narrow-column settings.
About
Released in 2024 by Eric Olson, this condensed family extends the Stratum system into space-saving territory suited to mobile interfaces and headline environments. Two sub-families distinguish themselves by their stroke endings: Stratum 1 Condensed uses sharp, angled terminations while Stratum 2 Condensed opts for flat ones. Script coverage includes Latin, Cyrillic with Bulgarian, Serbian and Macedonian alternates, and Greek, alongside tabular numerals and directional arrows.
Classification
Stratum Condensed follows a geometric sans construction with precise, structured terminations offered in sharp angled (Stratum 1) and flat (Stratum 2) variants, fitting cleanly within the geometric sans tradition.
