House of Cassandre
Production Type · Cassandre · 2024

A revival of Peignot, Cassandre's 1937 art deco display typeface, released with approval from the Estate of A.M. Cassandre.
About
Three weights — Light, Regular and Bold — recover Cassandre's Peignot, the typeface defined by its fusion of uppercase and lowercase letterforms into a single geometric register. Released by Production Type in 2024 with the blessing of the Cassandre estate, it carries Cassandre's original tension between formal rigour and lyrical expression. Best suited to display settings, posters and editorial contexts where a strong historical French graphic voice is appropriate.
Classification
A revival of Cassandre's original Peignot typeface, a distinctly art deco display face characterised by its hybrid uppercase and lowercase letterforms and strongly geometric, poster-oriented construction.
