Sway specimen from PS Type Lab

A double-axis variable serif that shifts between horizontal and vertical stress to produce three distinct sub-families ranging from conventional contrast to fully inverted.

About

A variable serif built on two axes, contrast and weight, that lets users move between horizontal and vertical stress to produce markedly different typographic characters. The three static sub-families, Sway, Sway Mid and Sway Inverse, each span six weights from Light to Black with matching italics, offering a spectrum from conventional high-contrast to fully reversed stress. Oldstyle figures and stylistic alternates are available across the family, and the variable version accommodates granular tuning between those predefined extremes.

Classification

Sway is a high-contrast serif with a double axis variable font spanning horizontal to vertical stress, giving it a distinctly expressive and rhythmic character that shifts between conventional and inverted contrast extremes.
